Greetings!
This newsletter arrives on the same date that Mike Judge's Idiocracy parks its peter in theaters around the nation. I thought it was getting shelved, but no! That said, your movie theater options are quite good right now from the CHUD.com pimped Beerfest to the apparently wonderful Crank to Idiocracy to the surprisingly rich and sublime The Illusionist. It's a good time to see some movies and the weather looks to be piss poor along the East Coast so get out there and make your ticket seller proud. I'll be tossing some pesos at Jason Statham's new one at least.
Pan Sexual!
The big news of the week is most certainly the CHUD.com exclusive Pan's Labyrinth teaser trailer. Devin said "this December you'll be kicked in the solar plexus and have your heart broken by a movie that's deep, beautiful, brutal, touching and magical" and in my review I said it was "heartbreaking but filled with awe and unsuppressed imagination". It's a great flick and our little exclusive clip might just prove it to the folks whose radar hadn't featured this one. Tell your friends!

The Dark Him!
About a year ago we put our online comic strips at CHUD.com on hiatus for various reasons. They're back, and in addition to looking for ongoing strips from new folks out there, the CHUD.com born RON/The Dark Him saga resumed this past week with the latest three installments of the latter. To catch up on the B&W noir hero story check here ( http://chud.com/comicstrip/7489) and then stay tuned to the site for the rest. These will run every MON-WED-FRI with a Hollywoodn't or special strip running on select weekends. Pipe up if you like or hate them!

11 COLONELS ATTACK!
Batter up!
The CHUD.comedy continues to try to find a home out there but two of our options became non-options this past week. Thankfully, everyone is liking the material and getting what we're trying to do but it's a risky film to make because of how bizarre and raw it is. The one overriding thing we're getting is that everyone wants us to make it our way because if we do it as we're planning to it's going to be special. A hard sell to Middle America, but special. So, though we're still pursuing "legit" studios and such, it looks like our original idea of indie financing is the way to go. Anyone win the lottery recently?
